Adventist Satellite Center

I developed a custom shopping cart and content management system using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS and HTML. The website, and business grew rapidly and have since upgraded to an ASP based shopping cart.

The original site looked similar, but used a table-less CSS layout.

The original shopping cart featured both PayPal checkout and a secure payment gateway, integrated FedEx shipping, and a customer/order management system.
It integrated SOAP/XML web services for shipping rates, and payment processing. Products, Categories, Articles and News items were all be added and updated via a built in HTML editor. This allowed anyone to add items, and create dynamic web pages, as easy as typing a Word document.

Most of the code base, database schema, and back end were used and improved on for the SatelliteAV website.

Columbia Mist Alpacas

I did some programming and database development on this site which was originally designed by Perfect Web Solutions
I took the existing HTML template, created a duplicate design using a table-less XHTML/CSS layout. I then split it into seperate PHP functions which are called on each individual page. This means that the entire site layout can now be changed by editing one file. I created a custom database to contain a calendar, and the various animals they have on the farm.

HeatherLynn Designs

Custom online photo album built with ASP/Access, ported to PHP/MySQL, re-ported to VB.NET/Access, and soon to be SQLServer. This was one of the first sites I built, and has remained my gunie pig for trying new languages.
Outputs XHTML compliant pages. Template / CSS based design allows for the entire site appearance to be changed by editing 2 files. I allowed for images on each scrapbook page to be clicked and enlarged. I integrated a user comments for each layout.

Legacies

I took over maintenance of this site, performed minor redesigns, and added functionality to a previously static site.
I integrated a Miva Merchant shopping cart, a scrapbook idea gallery, and eBay auctions. I also setup forms to allow customers to register online for in-store events.
The actual site has since gone offline, but is available at Archive.org via the link below.

Satellite AV, LLC.

Most of the code base, database schema, and back end were originally from the AdventistSat website.

I improved the original custom shopping cart and content management system (PHP, MySQL), and added multiple user levels, product manufacturers, price groups, and more to the application. This company is a dealer wholesale distributor, so they required a password protected shopping cart, and a few different administration access levels.

This site boasts a lightweight table-less CSS layout, and a full featured HTML editor built in to the back end for editing content. This allows anyone (with proper access) to add items, and create dynamic web pages, as easy as typing a Word document.

Scrappin' Essentials

This site featured a custom ASP storefront which interacted with the Miva Merchant shopping cart. It was a wholesale only site, so the store was password protected and available to registered customers only. Registered members also obtained access to message boards, private messaging, search engine submission and more.
I also built a custom store locator database so end-users could locate stores near them that carried their products.
The actual site has since gone offline, but is available at Archive.org via the link below.
